Unlucky-in-love Sophie Monk has been very vocal about her desire to become a mum one day.
But now the Love Island host is taking the matter into her own hands, by booking in to have her eggs frozen.
The 38-year-old — who is single again despite finding love on The Bachelorette with Stu Laundy last year — revealed she’s set to see a fertility specialist once she returns home from filming the racy new dating show overseas.
“I am going to freeze my eggs when I get back from Spain — it’s all booked in,” she told Who, adding it was a huge priority for her as the appointment is locked in for “as soon as I get back”.
The former pop star also discussed the possibility of going it alone, saying she hasn’t ruled it out but would prefer to meet a partner than have a baby using a sperm donor.
“I would never say never, but I would like to have a partner… so it’s not all on me,” she told the publication.
After falling in love with Stu last September, she told KIIS FM that she wants to have “a baby and to get married”.
Before going on the show she confessed “I just want it [a baby]” to The Daily Telegraph.
While the outspoken TV host hasn’t yet made her reality dreams come true, she’s a proud aunt of six and posed alongside her newborn nephew Arky for the Who interview.
Sophie Monk is not alone, with increasing numbers of women in Australia choosing to put their fertility on ice for a variety of different reasons.
