'Sopranos' star Frank Vincent dead

Sopranos actor Frank Vincent has died at the age of 78 after complications from heart surgery.

TMZ reports the veteran actor suffered a heart attack last week and underwent open heart-surgery. It’s understood he died on the operating table.

Frank, who had been in the industry for 41 years, starred in a number of memorable movies and TV shows – mainly playing ‘tough guy’ roles.

Fans have taken to social media to pay their respects to the iconic actor.

He is probably best known for playing Billy Batts in Goodfellas and Phil Leotardo in The Sopranos.

Frank also appeared in Raging Bull and Casino opposite Robert de Niro.
