Can you spot the problem with this pencil case?

They’re the pencil cases we all had when we were younger, but one Aussie mum's attempts to get her son organised for back to school has backfired thanks to a faulty pencil case.

Nicole Jones posted the image of the pencil case – which comes with paper letters to personalise the stationary – to a Facebook group after buying it at her local Kmart.

The photo shows the innocent looking blue case, along with an alphabet of letters which can be cut and inserted to cater for the different names.

Or so you’d think.

For Nicole’s son Felix, the distinct lack of the letter ‘F’ proved to be a pretty big problem.

"Bought this for my son Felix and there's no F!" Nicole captioned the photo.

The ingenious mum decided to take matters into her own hands to personalise Felix’s pencil case, after revealing that it would bother him.

“My son is on the spectrum so if it’s different from the other letters he won’t use it,” she told 9Honey.
