Stars send Demi Lovato their support after 'overdose'

Celebs have rushed to show Demi Lovato their support after the singer was hospitalised following a suspected overdose last night.

Messages of “love” from huge stars including chat show host Ellen DeGenere and Ariana Grande have been flooding in since news broke that the singer — who has spoken openly about her battle with addiction in the past — had sadly overdosed.

Australian actress Ruby Rose sent a powerful note of support, telling the ‘Sober’ singer she was strong enough to “fight this”.

The 32-year-old Pitch Perfect 3 star has had her own battle with drugs and alcohol addiction, and in a second tweet to a fan drew on that experience to reinforce the fact Demi needed a “support network”.

Many other stars felt this way, telling the 25-year-old through their social media accounts that they were “rooting” for her.

Demi is reportedly now in a “stable” condition, according to TMZ.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to Yahoo Entertainment they responded to a medical emergency at the 8000 block of Laurel View Dr. at 11:40 a.m on Tuesday.
