Stressed Meghan Markle is leaning on Kate Middleton
Meghan Markle is “at her wits’ end” over the drama surrounding her dad, and is reportedly turning to Kate Middleton for support.
Since she married Prince Harry in May, Thomas Markle has been continuously speaking out about his daughter, most recently accusing her of “cutting him off” because of her new royal status.
As the stressful situation rumbles on, it seems the Duchess of Cambridge has been there to offer a helping hand to Meghan.
“Kate’s been very sympathetic to what’s been going on with Meghan and her dad,” a source told Vanity Fair.
The pair are apparently having weekly calls with the mum of three “making a big effort to be kind to Meghan and look out for her”.
Thomas, 74 — who didn’t attend the wedding because of health reasons — has recently claimed he hasn’t spoken to the former Suits actress in 10 weeks, in an interview with the Mail on Sunday .
“I’m really hurt that she’s cut me off completely,” he said. “I used to have a phone number and text number for her personal aides at the Palace, but after I said a few critical words about the Royal Family changing Meghan, they cut me off.”
The “critical words” he’s referring to are likely to be comments he made about the late Princess Diana, where he claimed she would not have “stood” for the way he is being treated.
It’s not just her family feud that has brought the sisters in law closer together.
The pair were spotted bonding over their lover of tennis at Wimbledon recently, and share the same fashion designer.
These two are BFF goals.
