Hair conditioner.

Yep, that’s right. According to Her, the dermatologist explains in a video on the model’s website how applying conditioner to your hair and letting it sit on your skin can cause your pores to clog up.

With people often leaving conditioner in for a good couple of minutes to make sure it does its thing, it’s no wonder it’s only a short ride to zit city as your skin struggles with blocked pores.

One idea might be to put your hair up – not with anything too tight that could cause breakages – while you leave your conditioner in.

It’s not the only skin advice Dr Kidd’s dished out.

In an earlier video, the dermatologist warns frequent acne sufferers about the dangers of using exfoliating scrubs.

“I never want you washing your face with anything abrasive,” she explains. “Not a scrub, not a rotating brush, not a washcloth. You want to treat it very delicately and just wash with your hands. Wash really well with your hands.”
