This is the best time to shower

There's nothing like a lovely warm, invigorating shower first thing in the morning to wake you up and get your day started right.

“A morning shower allows for time to meditate and regroup before starting a long or hectic day,” Mona Gohara, MD, associate clinical professor of dermatology at the Yale School of Medicine, told The Independent.

But before you grab the loofah, consider this: experts actually believe an evening shower is the most beneficial, all things considered.

“If you like to shower in the morning, do it,” Nancy Rothstein, who calls herself The Sleep Ambassador, told Fox News.

“But definitely shower at night. It’s so important to go to bed clean, and it separates the day from the night.”

That's because, she says, it's psychologically important to sleep clean.

“When you get into bed, you should feel clean,” says Rothstein. “You’ve been out and about all day - why would you want to get into bed like that?"
