Snezana Markoski reveals post-baby skin condition

Just when you thought you’d learnt about everything pregnancy can throw at you, new mum Snezana Markoski has shared an Instagram snap showing what having a baby can do to your skin.

After welcoming her daughter Willow with fiancé Sam Wood earlier this month, the 37-year-old posted a make-up free shot on Instagram, displaying discolouration on her cheek.

“Damn melasma!” she captioned the snap. “Oooh well at least I use less bronzer now.”

For those not in the know, melasma is a skin condition that results in dark patches on your skin.

It’s apparently so common among expectant mums, it’s called the ‘mask of pregnancy’, with reports up to 70 percent of women develop it.

While Snez doesn’t elaborate on whether she suffered the condition while pregnant with her first daughter Eve, the former Bachelor star isn’t the only mum in the spotlight to battle melasma.

Jenna Dewan Tatum suffered from the skin condition after her pregnancy with daughter Everly in 2013.

“Those who have had melasma know it’s hard to manage,” the actress captioned her pic earlier this week.

It's clearly something the actress has struggled with, sharing a photo of her discoloured cheek last year.
