People who suffer from acne will know how hard it is to look at perfect models walking the runway showing off their flawless skin.

However one model, who recently walked in the Dolce & Gabbana show, has posted an honest account of what life behind the bright lights is really like.

Stunning supermodel, Starlie Smith, or Queen Starlie as she calls herself on social media, took to her Instagram account and posted a selfie of her skin without any make-up.

“WHO CARES IF YOU HAVE ACNE YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL,” she wrote alongside the picture.

“A love note to myself & others struggling #honest”

The model posted the selfie after she was slammed online after the Dolce and Gabbana show when people pointed out her spots.

Starlie is part of the band The Atomics with her brother and sister and she’s also a kickass model.

The stunner’s selfie was a follow-up to the post before, which showed off her incredible figure in a bikini.

"Trying to love my body as it is. #Honest," she wrote.
