Guess how much Kendall and Gigi earn per social media post

There was a time when it was rumoured Naomi Campbell wouldn't get out of bed for less than $10,000 a day, but that's mere pennies compared to the new wave of model's current fees.

In a tell-all interview on CR Fashion Book, Frank Spadafora, a former casting director and the founder and CEO of D'Marie Archive - an app that ranks models in order of their power - said models are now being hired for jobs judging by the amount of social media followers they have, as opposed to their actual talent.

"The three most highly ranked supers on social—Kendall Jenner, Cara Delevingne, and Gigi Hadid, in descending order— are currently valued between $125,000 and $300,000 for a single post across their portfolio," he said.

"If you want to reach a model's audience, you're going to have to pay a hefty additional fee for that."

Although you don't need to be a social media queen to rake in the big bucks, as even stars who have thousands of Instagram and Twitter followers are being offered huge amounts of cash to promote products to their audience.

"The next tier — very familiar faces like Karlie Kloss, Behati Prinsloo, and Miranda Kerr — can command between $25,000 to $50,000 for a single post across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram," Mr Spadafora said.

Mr Spadafora said there is a range of models who are listed on the app and could be earning a lot more money for their social media posts if they were more educated on the industry.

"They're a breed who have figured out not just how to capitalize beyond a single campaign, but how to create long-term value by building an interactive digital portfolio, giving fans a glimpse into what they eat, where they shop, and perhaps most importantly, how many fellow models comprise their squad in a socially-dominated landscape," he said.
