Serena Williams pregnant, nude and fabulous

A heavily pregnant Serena Williams has posed naked for the cover of Vanity Fair magazine.

Just like Demi Moore’s iconic Vanity Fair cover in 1991, the legendary tennis player was pictured showing off her perfect baby bump with just one hand strategically covering her modesty.

The 35-year-old, who is engaged to Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian, has also revealed that she only told her fiancé she was pregnant after taking six pregnancy tests.

Serena, who is now six months pregnant, told the magazine when she was in Melbourne during the Australian Open she called up Alexis and told him to get to Australia immediately.

Her fiancé hopped on a plane and when he arrived, Serena handed him the six pregnancy tests.

Now she says she still can’t believe that in three months time she will be holding a baby in her arms.

“it just doesn’t seem real. I don’t know why. Am I having a baby?,” she said.

She also said she has “done absolutely nothing for the baby room” and is just trying to enjoy the “freedom” she has left.

The tennis ace also told the publication she will be back on the court as soon as January, claiming she doesn’t think her “story is over yet”.

Serena announced back in April that she was expecting her first child in a now iconic Snapchat story.

The announcement came after she got engaged to Alexis Ohanian back in December, having dated for over a year.

Serena’s nude shoot comes after tennis player John McEnroe caused controversy over the weekend with comments made about the star.

When TV host Lulu Garcia-Navarro commented that Serena should be seen as the “best player in the world” as opposed to the “best female player”, John let his feelings be known.

"If [Serena Williams] played the men’s circuit she’d be like 700 in the world,” he said in an interview with CBS This Morning.

Not one to take criticism lying down, Serena hit back on social media, saying: “Dear John, I adore and respect you but please please keep me out of your statements that are not factually based.

"I've never played anyone ranked "there" nor do I have time. Respect me and my privacy as I'm trying to have a baby. Good day sir.”
