The invention of Japanese company BoDivas, the “Beachtail” is sold as a “sexy charm for [your] bikini crotch” and retails for about $25.

To be honest, the charm – which looks like a metal chain with two gems dangling on either side and appears to clip into place underneath your swimmers – couldn’t look any less sexy if it tried.

And it seems people on social media agree.

“This has to be a joke,” commented one person on Instagram.

“This doesn't look attractive or even comfortable,” added another.

For those who are keen on different kinds of body bling, the company also sells “nipple nooses”, with the beaded or feathered loops sitting just on your nipple.
