Gigi Hadid pulls out of Victoria's Secret Fashion Show
Gigi Hadid has been forced to pull out of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Shanghai, just 11 days before it was due to take place.
The 22-year-old model took to her Twitter account to reveal that she is “so bummed” she won’t be able to make it to China to walk in the show.
It comers after Chinese people took to the social media site to claim the supermodel wasn’t welcome there after her sister, Bella Hadid, posted a video online where Gigi appeared to be squinting her eyes to look like a Buddha cookie.
I’m so bummed I won’t be able to make it to China this year. Love my VS family, and will be with all my girls in spirit!! Can't wait to tune in with everyone to see the beautiful show I know it will be, and already can't wait for next year! :) x

“I’m so bummed I won’t be able to make it to China this year,” Gigi wrote on Twitter.
“Love my VS family, and will be with all my girls in spirit!!
“Can't wait to tune in with everyone to see the beautiful show I know it will be, and already can't wait for next year.”
The controversial video of Gigi saw people campaign to boycott Gigi and try to exclude her from the Victoria’s Secret Show.
Many saw it as “racist”, however, Gigi apologized profusely for offending anyone.
'It hurts me to hurt anyone, and I want you all to know that it was never my intent to offend anyone through my actions and I sincerely apologise to those who were hurt or felt let down by me,” she said in a statement.
“I have the utmost respect and love for the people of China and cherish the incredible memories I have made while visiting in the past.
“I have learned to be very careful of how my actions can come off or be portrayed and I'm hopeful you'll accept my apology.
“I hope to meet many of you and let you get to know me for me. I do not condone hurtful behaviour and want people and fans of all backgrounds to know they are welcomed, loved and respected around me and by me.”
However, it’s been claimed that Gigi isn’t the only model who has been forced to pull out of the show.
According to Fashionista, hosting the Victoria’s Secret Show in China is turning out to be a nightmare for organisers, with models Julia Belyakova, Kate Grigorieva and Irina Sharipova from Russia, as well as Dasha Khlystun from Ukraine reportedly denied visas to enter the country.

It’s also been rumoured that even media agencies are unsure if they will be granted visas or what they’ll be able to film from the show.
There has been no indication that Gigi was denied a visa to China and the supermodel gave little explanation in her Tweet.
