Victoria Beckham on how often you should wash jeans

She’s one of the biggest designers in the world at the moment and now Victoria Beckham has weighed in on a well-discussed fashion debate.

People have been argumenting about whether or not you should wash jeans for years but 43-year-old mum-of-four Victoria Beckham has given her verdict.

While she may have all the pairs of jeans she could ever want, the former Posh Spice actually rarely ever throws her ones in the wash.

In fact, if she could get away with it, Victoria would never put them in the washing machine at all.

“If the kids spill [something on them], then I have to wash them, obviously, but even then it's only on cold wash,” she told Elle magazine.

“And normally, no, I just don't wash them at all."

Victoria, who has just shown her latest collection at New York Fashion Week, continued, revealing that she does something very bizarre with her jeans.

"I normally hang my jeans up, to be honest with you, to keep the shape,” she said.

And maybe Victoria is on to something here, as Dio Kurazawa, WGSN’s denim director, thinks you should keep your denims away from the washing machine at all costs.

“Don’t wash them. Jeans fit best when worn in to fit your body,” he told the Huffington Post.

“Washing often requires the wearer to start that process all over again.”
