Meghan's memorial service outfit comes under fire

Forget all the anticipation surrounding Meghan Markle's wedding dress when she walks down the aisle in a few weeks, the actress is already causing fashion buzz for her recent spate of style hits - and misses.

After embarking on a slew of public appearances in the last few weeks, the public seems divided on Meghan's fashion-forward style, with her ensemble for her latest outing coming under fire from some.

While royal watchers have been left aflutter with the news Kate Middleton and Prince William have welcomed baby number three, Meghan's latest outfit hasn't gone unnoticed as she and Prince Harry attended a memorial service at St. Martin-in-the-Fields in Trafalgar Square to celebrate the life and legacy of Stephen Lawrence.

Stephen was the victim of a racially motivated murder in 1993, when the then-18-year-old was tragically stabbed in south London.

Harry and Meghan greeted Lawrence’s mother, Baroness Lawrence before entering the service during which, Prince Harry is scheduled to speak on behalf of his father, Prince Charles.

Meghan donned a sleeveless Hugo Boss dress for the service, with Twitter questioning whether it was an appropriate choice.

Meghan was similarly criticised for baring her shoulders when she stepped out in a strappy dress at the Commonwealth Youth Forum in London last week.

Wearing a $2,000 pinstripe midi dress by Altuzzara, with a Camilla and Marc blazer draped over her shoulders, Meghan broke royal protocol by sporting a cross-body bag and by removing her jacket from her shoulders inside the event.

One commenter online claimed Meghan's outfit was 'inappropriate' for a royal occasion.

"There is no other explanation for her to be dressed for an engagement inappropriately again," Instagram account Guide To Royals said.

"The bag didn’t go with the dress, it was too bulky. The dress although very cute (already looking online to order one for myself) was completely inappropriate for the event she was attending.

"It’s not fair, they’re dressing her and doing her hair all wrong and it’s coming off as if she doesn’t care about the institution in which she is about to marry in to.

"It’s also making her seem as if she believes she is above the guidelines and traditions of the royal family."
