It might be her first time at Australian Fashion Week, but Bella is a regular on the runway circuit – she’s walked for brands including Balmain and Chanel, and was also voted Model Of The Year at the Daily Front Row Awards.
Like many, Bella suffers from bitchy resting face – but she’s also learnt to live with it.
“I'm like, don't have such a blank stare on your face,” Bella said. “I've got resting bitch face so I'm trying to think about happy thoughts now when I model. I'm trying not to look like I'm about to murder someone.”
“My mum always taught me to think about something happy when I'm working, because it kind of shows through your face,” Bella told ELLE US. “I used to think about my horses.” Now it’s pizza.
Bella dyes her hair to differentiate herself from sister Gigi. "I just have a darker personality," Bella told Allure magazine. "And my sister being blonde and me being brunette, it's a good separation".
Aside from her stints on the runway, you'll rarely see Bella wearing anything but black. Her reasoning? Much like her hair, she thinks the colour suits her personality.
"Bella asked me last year if I'd mentor her and I said yes," Campbell explained. "I love [her and Gigi] both. They're really great girls. They're hardworking girls."
Yep, Bella’s lithe frame is mostly luck of the draw and a fast metabolism. She admits to being on a pizza diet “every day” and that includes burgers, French fries and grilled cheeses too.
Along with her mother, Yolanda Foster, and brother, Anwar Hadid, Bella suffers from lyme disease, a widely misunderstood condition. While she currently has it under control, she also goes through periods of being unwell.
“I will walk to the end of the earth to find a cure so that you can live a healthy life that you deserve,” her mother said recently. “No child should suffer the way that you do.”
"I am definitely the typical middle child,” she told ELLE. “I love making sure everybody around me is happy, peaceful, and satisfied."
"I just have to remind myself that (Gigi)'s been doing this forever," Bella said. "I can't keep comparing myself to her because we're so different. But people still love to compare and contrast us - what's better about her or what's not that good about me - and it's hard because people are really mean. I'm her biggest supporter, and she's my biggest supporter. We're not competitive at all."
