Carrie Bickmore has sung Lisa Wilkinson's praises which is in stark contrast to reports that emerged last month about her being "less than impressed" with the former Today host joining The Project.
In fact, Carrie "couldn't be happier" to have Lisa joining The Project panel, calling the 57-year-old presenter a "class act".
"I am great friends with Lisa," she told The Daily Telegraph. "We spoke the night it happened and have been texting back and forth."
The host also told the publication she has "always respected and looked up to" Lisa and is excited to have another female voice joining the popular Channel Ten current affairs program.

"It is nice to have more women," she told the outlet. "To have another strong female voice, I couldn't be happier about it."
It was a shock to the nation when Lisa abruptly left the Today show on Channel Nine after a decade at the desk, apparently due to an equal pay dispute with her now former co-host Karl Stefanovic.
