The theme park with more bang for your buck

Move over Mickey Mouse, there’s a new theme park in Orlando and it could blow away the competition – literally.

Machine Gun America, which opened in Orlando, Florida, in December, offers punters from the age of 13 upwards the chance to fire real weapons at targets or be involved in simulator experiences – including a Wild West shoot-out and a battle with zombies, according to the website.

The park offers everything from handguns and rifles to machine guns and shotguns.

It’s also touted as a venue for events, including bachelorette parties and company outings.

According to FoxNews.com, the attraction is drawing in customers – including families – and Americans aren’t the only ones keen to get their hands on a firearm.

Director of safety and training Wes Doss told FoxNews.com that Kiwis were among the international customers coming through the doors.

“We have folks from the UK and folks from New Zealand—and they’re thrilled because this is an activity this is often illegal or banned in their home country,” he said.

Visitors are reportedly allowed to choose their weapon before being accompanied by a certified safety officer to fire at their target.

Dan Shalloway, one of Machine Gun America’s owners, told FoxNews.com that the traditional bullseye was the most popular target choice, followed by Osama bin Laden.
