It seems the sugar thieves are out in force lately.
First we had the Nutella heist, and now thieves have stolen FOUR TONNES of Ferrero Rocher from the back of a truck.
The incident occurred in Sweden, and saw the chocolate lovers break into the truck overnight while the driver was sleeping in the cabin.
They smuggled the chocolate out of the back.
In total, they make away with the equivalent of $155,000 worth of Ferrero Rocher, according to local newspaper Helsingborgs Dagblad.
The driver woke at 8am to find his cargo was gone.
Of course, this isn’t the first time confectionary thieves have struck.
Just last week, 20 tonnes of chocolate including Nutella and Kinder eggs was stolen from a truck in Germany.
It’s not known if the crimes are linked, but the Italian confectionary company Ferrero are the producers of Ferrero Rocher, Nutella and Kinder.
