Three Bali villas that are so extra

We’ve all dreamt of holidaying like a celebrity; massages every day, private jacuzzis and a personal chef who can whip up deluxe meals on the spot. Normally these demands come with a hefty price tag, but that isn’t necessarily the case in Bali.

Along with stunning beaches and nightlife, Bali is now known for value-for-money luxury. We’re talking over-the-top villas with rainforest pools and marble carved bathtubs for a fraction of the price you would get back in Australia.

There are no shortage of spectacular places to stay on Airbnb and the like, but for the full VIP service, we’ve taken a look at some of the most luxurious places on offer.

1. The Mulia Villas – Nusa Dua
Perfect for relaxing

Located on the southern tip of the island, The Mulia is removed from all the hustle and bustle of Seminyak and Kuta, offering the perfect opportunity to relax, unwind and spend uninterrupted quality time with your loved ones.

Guests can choose between a one-bedroom or family-sized villa, or go large in the six bedroom ‘Mulia Mansion’

All villas feature the best of the best amenities from lush linen, to outrageous bathtubs, and toilets that have every feature known to mankind – the heated toilet seat alone will make your holiday. It’s so luxe, you’ll actually feel like Harry and Meghan, in fact, we’re told a royal family has actually stayed here, but no one will say which family #privacy.

The villas are nestled amongst private gardens and located only a stone’s throw away from the beachfront. If you don’t feel like taking the 15-minute stroll down, your private butler will be more than happy to drive you, because who actually wants to exercise on holidays?

When you’re finished soaking up the rays on the beach, make the most of your private hydrotherapy pool, terrace and day bed, or head down to one of their eight on-site restaurants.

2. Villa De Suma – Seminyak
Perfect for partying

Villa De Suma is every Bachelorette party’s dream. Located in the heart of Seminyak, the stand-alone villa removed from a hotel making it perfect for those who’re wanting some extra privacy. Only minutes away from a huge selection of restaurants, bars and an abundance of shops, so if you’re wanting to party like it’s 1999, this pad is perfect for you.

For those who love to tear up the d-floor, Potato Head Club is just around the corner; it’s got all the cocktails and delicious share plates you could dream of, and you’ll definitely make a memory or two.

But the location isn’t the only great thing about this about Villa De Suma. The fully staffed four-bedroom oasis, has a 12-metre swimming pool lined with greenery. You’ll feel like you’re swimming in a rainforest.

A 24/7 private chef is provided so guests can live like Kris Jenner and grab a freshly made snack whenever they fancy it.

This villa also works if you’re after a family style holiday.  Set behind a gated community, it is secure from the busy streets of Seminyak and still right by the beach.

3. The Layar  – Seminyak
Perfect for couple time

The Layar can be described as modern day luxury. Twenty-three villas are sprawled across the lavish grounds. Villas can sleep up to four people, but for the perfect getaway from the romantic at heart, a one bedder will give you more than enough space.

The one bedroom villa features a private swimming pool and an indoor/outdoor style bathroom – with the most extravagant tub; you and your significant other will be bathed in honeymoon bliss.

Foodies rejoice, The Layar offers a boat load of in-villa dining options. So whether it’s breakfast, or a 2am snack, they’ll hook you up. We recommend guests treat themselves to a private barbecue dinner, the onion rings are to die for.

If you ever get sick of your villa (we doubt you will, but just in case), they offer free transportation to Seminyak and Kuta for all your sightseeing and shopping needs.

Travelling with kids? Unlike the other villas, The Layar has a variety of kids activities they can even organise babysitters so you and bae can have some alone time #winning.

No matter what type of holiday you’re after, from relaxing to partying or bonding with a loved one, Bali has a prime pick of villas to make your stay unforgettable.
