Tracey Jewel admitted to mental-health facility

Tracey Jewel has revealed she was admitted to a mental-health facility after returning from the trip to Europe which saw her relationship with Patrick Kedemos come to a dramatic end.

The former Married At First Sight star said she’s been struggling since the shock split, confessing to hitting “rock bottom” as a result of all the drama she’s endured recently.

Talking about how tumultuous her life has been since appearing on the Channel Nine show, the mum of one admitted she made a desperate attempt at her own life after being left “stranded and alone” in Berlin, when Patrick called time on their romance.

“I went into a head spin and I just didn’t see a way out of the current situation,” she told New Idea magazine.

“I’m not someone who has a history of depression, but I started getting help in April because the psychologist said I might have post-traumatic stress disorder because of everything I’ve been through.”

The 35-year-old has had a rollercoaster of a ride since appearing on MAFS at the start of the year.

First her relationship with ‘hubby’ Dean Wells was rocked by a cheating scandal, which eventually resulted in Tracey ending things.

She then embarked on a six-month romance with fellow contestant Sean Thomsen, only for her to rekindle things with ex Patrick when things didn’t work out.

As a result, Tracey said she’s been the target of cruel trolls online, who’ve cyber bullied her “relentlessly”.

But her reunion with Patrick — who she dated before finding fame on the reality dating show — didn’t last long, with the pair breaking up whilst still on their international getaway following a dispute that saw local police called.

Despite this, Tracey said her former man paid for her flights home to Perth, where she has since sought much needed help.

Now the unlucky in love author is trying her best to move on and be a “good role model” for her daughter, Grace, eight.

“My doctors thought the best thing I could do was to have care to get better as quickly as possible,” she said.
