If you're the sort of person who likes to try a bit of everything on your well earned time off, Phuket is the place for you.

Great food, beautiful beaches, action, adventure and some of the world's best nightlife - Phuket has everything you could possibly want from a holiday, whether it's a lazy day by the pool or a night out partying.

If you want to get out and see the world, there are no excuses for missing the majestic limestone islands of Phang Nga Bay.

This massive marine park is like sailing through a postcard, and you'll get the chance to experience it from a whole new perspective with Andaman Leisure Phuket

Taking the 45 minute speedboat ride from the Phuket marina, the sight of dozens of enormous limestone islands looming into view on the horizon will take your breath away.

Hopping off the boat and jumping into a canoe, your own guide will take you in, under and around these islands, carefully guiding the canoe through pitch black caves, all while making sure your head stays attached to your shoulders.

You'll get the chance to swim in the crystal blue waters of Phang Nga Bay, and even visit 'James Bond Island', made famous in the 1974 film, The Man with the Golden Gun.

After lunch at a traditional Muslim fishing village, the final stop of the day is your own private beach, complete with Gilligan's Island style bamboo beach bar serving cocktails in a pineapple.

It's a big, full day tour but totally worth it for an experience that can't be replicated anywhere else in the world.

By the end of the day you'll be completely exhausted and ready to get back and relax by the pool, and the perfect place to do that is Amari Coral Beach Resort near Patong Beach.

The resort is just a 200baht tuk tuk drive from The Patong Beach party strip of Bangla road, but it may as well be a world away.

With 197 rooms stretched across a huge resort, guests feel as though they have their own little slice of paradise.

The beautiful, recently renovated rooms have everything you need and you can even pop into the Breeze spa for a relaxing Thai massage, or get up early for some yoga while you watch the sun rise.

By day, you can enjoy a drink by one of the two pools with a spectacular view of Patong beach, by night you can dine in at the seafood buffet, Italian restaurant or enjoy some traditional Thai while taking in the panoramic views of of Patong Beach and its spectacular surroundings.

Speaking of Patong Beach, if great nightlife is something you're looking for in a holiday, Phuket has everything you could possibly need.

Heading in to Phuket’s notorious party strip, Bangla road, the first thing to confront you is the bright lights and big sounds of Schoolies on steroids.

Once you've dodged Thailand's famous ladyboys (or not, we're not judging) you simply have to find a bar that tickles your fancy, sit back, enjoy a few drinks, and dance the night away.

There are dozens of bars in which you can make yourself at home, from giant nightclubs to little holes in the wall, with friendly bar staff and plenty of fellow Aussie tourist around you can’t help but have a good night.

The drinks are cheap and the atmosphere is one of a city that never sleeps – if you really fancy yourself a marathon partier, head down to the beach and watch the sunrise, you won’t be alone.
