Five-storey slide installed in Shanghai shopping mall
Shoppers can drop from the fifth floor to the ground floor in a super-speedy 16 seconds.
Just when you thought that retail therapy couldn't get any more fun, a luxury Chinese department store has installed a five-storey, stainless slide so shoppers can zip from the top floor to the bottom floor to get their shopping done faster.
The slide has been built in the Printemps department store in Shanghai’s exclusive Pudong District, and is expected to open to the public shortly.

A slippery dip from the store's fifth floor to the ground floor via the slide takes just 16 seconds, but shoppers suffering from heart disease or a fear of heights are advised to take the more traditional route of the lifts, escalators or stairs.
Some shoppers have reservations about the in-store gimmick, remarking that the stainless steel construction looks "dangerous".
"Some people will probably get stuck inside it because it looks long and narrow," visitor Jack Shen says of the slide.
"What is there is a loose scrrew and you fall down?" wrote Ba dao zong cai rui on Chinese social media platform Weibo.
“As soon as I see it, I think of the movie Final Destination," wrote another concerned user.
