Visit the South of France with Laura Dundovic

Former Miss Universe Australia, Laura Dundovic is no stranger to travel - having criss-crossed the globe many times - but she now calls Toulon in the South of France home.

Yahoo7 Travel caught up with the globe-trotting beauty and got her advice on the best spots to check out in the French Mediterranean.

Best beach?

Calanques in Cassis. Hidden among the high sea cliffs, there are inlets carved into the limestone.

Best place for coffee?

Cafe De Paris Monaco.

Favourite restaurant?

There is a great Asian fusion place in Six-Fours-les-Plages - which is quite different for France - mOOm bar and restaurant.

Best shopping location?

Strip shopping in Cannes. It's right on the water and has the best brands!

Best spot to enjoy the outdoors?

Go paddle boarding at La Pradet or kayaking at Le Mourillon. There are also some incredible treks around Carquerianne.

Best restaurant with a view?

Le Vistamar in Monte Carlo. Not only is it a Michelin-starred restaurant but the views of the harbor are spectacular.

If you had friends visiting, what are the three things you would insist they do?

• Head over to the island Porquerolles and bike ride around the island, making sure sure you visit Notre Dame beach.

• Have a session of cryotherapy at Thermins Marin's Monte Carlo

• Visit Hotel Du Cap Eden Roc and take me with you - it's next on my list!

But Laura is still an Aussie at heart so where is her favourite holiday spot Down Under?

Ningaloo Reef. It has the most incredible diving spots and you can swim with whale sharks! I took a camper van up from Perth and if you are thinking of doing the same stop at Monkey Mia where you can see the dolphins.
