The moment a crocodile almost eats a drone for dinner

Most Aussies are well acquainted with the childhood nursery rhyme, ‘Never smile at a crocodile.’

Well, just as the poem goes, “you can’t get friendly with a crocodile,” the same goes for drones!

Photographer Sean Scott thought he’d try his luck in the Northern Territory and fly his drone super close to a saltwater crocodile chilling in a lake.

He was on a fishing tour boat when he decided to take his drone for a ride and snap some photos of the incredible scenery.

Moments later, he spotted the cold-blooded creature lurking in the waters beneath the flying video camera.

While Scott was admiring the five-metre-long 'monster,' he did not expect it to leap out of the water and try eat his drone for lunch!

Luckily, Scott was able to fly his drone out of the croc’s reach.

And even more awesome, he caught the whole thing on video!
