Terrifying moment a jet skier gets up close to a tiger shark
One jet skier was given the absolute thrill of his life when he came within metres of a tiger shark.
Noosa local Jonah Cooper was out on his jet ski when he crossed paths with the aquatic beast, which was hooked on a drum line.
The video, filmed in Granite Bay, shows the shark, approximately 4.5 metres long and larger than his 3.5 metre jet ski, writhing around in the water with the line in its mouth.
Jonah shared the video on Facebook and wrote: "Tiger shark checkin' me out today... I think I'm gonna need a bigger jetski!"

He also estimated the shark was around 15 feet long!
"It wasn't being aggressive or anything... it was a beautiful spectacle," he told the Sunshine Coast Daily.
Jonah alerted authorities to let them know the shark was hooked on the drum line, but Jess Krause, the manager of the Shark Control Program, said it was gone by the time investigators arrived.
"The shark either released itself or the carcass was removed by an unknown person," Jess Krause said.
