Google’s new app is like a pocket-sized travel agent

Google’s new travel app, Trips, is about to change the way we travel.

The app is like a pocket-sized travel agent that you have on speed dial 24/7.

It’s available on iOS and Android, and you can use it offline. No need for data chewing. Hurrah!

The app is connected to your email account where it gets all the information about your past and future trips. It pulls information from details in your inbox.

Trips then creates 'cards' for you, which align with your previous and upcoming travels.

It pulls all necessary information including reservations, maps, sightseeing and dining recommendations to form a travel ‘card’ on your personal app.

Each card is split into subcategories emphasising what information Google thinks you’ll need for the allocated trip. You’ll get reservation recommendations, a ‘To Do’ guide, food and drink advice and transport information.

It also provides local emergency numbers and hospital recommendations should you get in to any trouble, or into a sticky (or sickly) situation.

There’s recommended day plans, which help in planning sightseeing must-dos.

The app provides itineraries for Google’s top 200 travel destinations and you can customise them all to fit with your personal preferences.

There's plenty of travel apps out there, so here's another to add to your list.
