Why Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul took his Idaho property off Airbnb

Aaron Paul listed his home on Airbnb back in May, only to take it down after the news got out that you could stay in his lavish Idaho homestead.

So what happened? The 37-year-old reveals to Be that he had to take down the listing after his Airbnb inbox started looking more like Breaking Bad fan mail.

“I did [list it],” he tells Be. “But not announcing that it was my house."

Aaron - who has been a user of the site since 2011 - had listed his ranch in Boise, Idaho at the time for $395 per night.

“We have this house in Idaho that we go back to quite often. But it really sits empty for most of the year. My family is using the pool, it’s a really special house, there’s a hot springs in the middle of the house."

Yep, for just $395 plus a $200 cleaning fee and a $1000 deposit, you could have slept in Aaron Paul's actual bed. And that's exactly why things got creepy when the news got out.

Aaron explains: “I knew it would really get rented on Airbnb, and it did. Then all of a sudden Airbnb announced that it was my house.

"And then I started getting all these random fan letters through the site that read, ‘Can’t wait to stay at your house, bitch’, so I was like ‘Wait, what’ and then I realised, ‘Oh, someone leaked the information’. So I just instantly took the house off the site.”

The property is located 45 minutes from the actor's hometown of Emmett and comes equipped with a geothermal spa.

Aaron, who was speaking with Be to promote his new role in the Kingslaive: Final Fantasy movie, previously revealed that he is eager to leave LA and return to the "mountains and streams" of Idaho.

Reflecting on his childhood, the 36-year-old actor said: "It was incredible. I appreciate it much more now being away from it. I grew up on the lake, floating the rivers, nothing but mountains and streams and wildlife and that sort of thing.

"I was always snowboarding from a very young age. And you think, oh God I can't wait to get out to live a more exciting life. But now living in Los Angeles since I was 17, I cannot wait to get back to Idaho."

Aaron admitted it took him a long time to appreciate LA, where he currently lives, and to find a social circle in which he felt comfortable.

He said: "I didn't fall in love with Los Angeles as quickly as I had imagined I would. It took me a good two to three years to really love the city. Now I'm madly in love with it.

"There's a lot of Los Angeles that at first glance you're terrified by, a lot of fake people and the glitz and glam, that's not really my cup of tea.

"Then eventually you get your core group of friends who you love and trust. I wouldn't call it lonely. I was fighting for something. I was trying to get my foot inside that door. And eventually the door was opened."
