When you're a cassowary but you are also sun smart!
Two ladies with their small kids were enjoying the Far North Queensland sun at Innisfail's local beach Etty Bay this week when a cassowary literally snuck up behind their picnic and booted them from their waterfront spot.
"They were startled to see him, grabbed their kids and ran out of its way," local Antoinette Gullotta said in a social media post.
"The cassowary enjoyed sitting on their blanket and had a lovely time enjoying their picnic and glorious view."
Cassowaries can be dangerous and are known to get aggressive with tourists.
Signs at Etty Bay say it's best not to feed them and to stay away - even if they do pinch your picnic blanket!
