You have to see this electronic luggage which moves by itself

We've all been there; you're in the airport, trying to juggle a coffee and magazine in one hand and your luggage in the other.

However that's about to become a thing of the past with the launch of this pretty impressive electric bag, which zooms along the floor all by itself.

Aptly named the Travelmate, the robot-like bag is being hailed as a fully autonomous smart suitcase that can go up to 6.75 mph in both horizontal or vertical mode.

If you're wondering how it works, Travelmate's website claims it can "navigate large crowds and is able to recognize and avoid objects as needed".

It constantly adjusts to your speed and location and if you have it horizontal it can even carry more luggage on top of it.

The bag also comes with two USB sockets and the battery which operates it can be taken out at any time and is charged using wireless technology.

It uses unique omni wheels that allow for unprecedented multi-directional movement and when it's in full charged mode, it has a battery life of 4 hours when in full autonomous mode and up to 100 hours in stand by mode.

The handle turns into a desk so you can prop your laptop or iPad on the top of it and it uses fingerprint technology to open the case.

And if you're afraid your suitcase will go rogue and go off on its own adventure, it also features a GPS chip so you never lose track of it and it can removed and placed on other valuable items.

The bag starts at $399.
