Airbnb now offers a night at Count Dracula’s Transylvania castle

If you’re a huge fan of Halloween and haunted houses, then you will LOVE Airbnb’s latest offering….

The homestay network has announced that you can now stay for one night only at Count Dracula’s iconic Transylvanian castle – and it’s all absolutely free.

The only snag is, you’ll have to sleep in a coffin!

"Fall asleep to the creaks and whispers of the Transylvanian night, and the sound of wolves roaming outside the castle walls," the listing reads.

Airbnb is working with vampire expert Dacre Stoker – who also happens to be the great-grand-nephew of Dracula author Bram Stoker – to arrange a memorable Halloween experience for tourists.

Guests will travel to the iconic residence by horse-drawn carriage, before entering the castle through a secret passage and having a robber beefsteak and paprika hendl chicken meal - like in the book.

Dacre will then tell stories about the legendary bloodsucker, and guests will go to sleep in their very own velvet-trimmed coffin. If they survive the night, breakfast will be served on the terrace the next morning as the sun rises.

House rules include: no garlic or garlic-scented items – because they apparently get rid of vampires, and you don't want that!

You also have to leave silver jewellery at home as well as any holy symbols, and you’re not allowed to cross anything, including your cutlery.

Those who are brave enough to take part need to fill out an Airbnb application by October 17, and if they win, they will be flown out to Romania with a guest for free.
