WATCH: Epic in-flight armrest battle

There have been numerous debates about who should rule the armrest – particularly if you get stuck in the middle seat.

Well a new viral video shows a passenger taking a very direct approach, much to the surprise of his fellow traveller.

A man who appears to be seated in a middle seat posted a video to YouTube, allegedly showing his fierce but determined move to take control of one armrest.

The video was posted by Andy Slamans, a businessman from the USA and opens with him in the toilet of the plane complaining about the man next to him claiming the armrest for himself throughout the flight. He then tells the camera that he is going to try to reclaim it, saying, “If he wants to tussle with the muscle he’s going to get it. I’m going to bump him off and see if I can get it on camera”.

So what did he do? He elbowed the hell out of that guy, causing the him, who was sleeping, to wake up and give him the most hilarious look you’ll see.

The shocked reaction of the offending passenger is priceless.
