You can now earn Qantas frequent flyer points with your Deliveroo order

Ordering takeaway just became slightly more acceptable after it's been announced that you can now earn Qantas frequent flyer points with your Deliveroo order.

Deliveroo revealed this morning that for every dollar you spend making an order at your favourite restaurant, you will earn two frequent flyer points with Qantas.

This is the first time Qantas Frequent Flyer has added an online food delivery company to its list of partners however the company is showing more and more signs of moving with the changing behaviour of its members who are increasingly making everyday purchases online.

“Food is the second most popular interest among our members after travel so we think they’ll be delighted to discover they can now earn points when they order food from their favourite restaurants through Deliveroo,” Qantas Loyalty CEO Lesley Grant said

“We know consumers are increasingly moving online to make their purchases so we need to make sure we’re giving Qantas Frequent Flyers new opportunities to earn with partners like Deliveroo that make it quick and easy for them to earn points online and through their mobile devices.”

It's important for Deliveroo to identify partnerships that give our loyal customers rewards that are relevant to them and we see immense potential in this unique partnership that combines food and travel."

To earn Qantas Points with Deliveroo, Qantas Frequent Flyer members need to download the Deliveroo app or go to deliveroo.com.au, click on My Account and enter their Qantas Frequent Flyer details into the Qantas tab.

Members can earn additional points by paying for their order with a Qantas Points earning credit card . They will earn points on their Deliveroo order and again on their credit card spend.

Just last month it was also announced that Qantas Frequent Flyer members now have the opportunity to earn points when they book their Airbnb accommodation through qantas.com.

Users will earn one point per dollar spent, making your travels work for you.
