When Sydney-based Irish expat Robert Keane had to pull out of a planned backpacking trip with his mate, he felt terrible.
So the self-described “s—t friend” took to social media in an effort to find his pal Paddy James a new travel buddy.
In a post on the Facebook group Australian Backpackers, Robert put out a call for any travellers interested in accompanying his British friend as he made his way up the east coast of Australia.
Robert works in marketing, and is clearly good at his job – because his otherwise innocent post was accompanied with two smokin’ shirtless pics of Paddy.
Unsurprisingly, the post quickly blew up, with women very enthusiastically offering to travel with the ab-tastic 23-year-old and telling him to look them up if he happens to visit their hometown.
One girl even went a step further and proposed! The thirst is real.
"Rob told me it would be a good idea to post looking for friends but I was scared I wouldn’t get any replies," Paddy told The Sun. Ha! Not likely.
Paddy’s inbox has seen some action with over 150 girls messaging with offers of dates and accommodation, according to The Huffington Post.
He told the publication that he might meet up with some of the women who sent his messages, but otherwise he is still looking for someone to fill Robert’s shoes for the whole trip.
