Sydney's secret coastal walk

The Hermitage foreshore walking track is one of Sydney's great coastal walks and until now, its been kept a red-hot secret!

So, if you’re in the mood for a walk with a picturesque view, minus the queue – pop your runners on and head here.

Along the track, expect to take in in the views of Shark Island, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the grounds of Strickland House. But if that doesn’t tickle your fancy, perhaps stumbling onto a few secluded beaches might?

The walking track continues along the harbour with low to medium intensity to Nielson Park.

Those feeling a little peckish towards the end of your hike or happen to be strolling through around lunch time, keep walking to Nielsen Park and try the Italian cuisine at Nielsen Park Kiosk.

FYI, if you'll be trekking in a group, there's limited on street parking, but Nielsen Park includes car bays on GreycIiffe Avenue.
