Stranger comes to mum's rescue on horror flight

Flying with children can be exhausting at the best of times, but things go downhill fast the minute one of them starts crying.

For one poor mum, her 5.45am flight turned into a nightmare when the plane was stalled on the tarmac and her toddler starting throwing a tantrum.

The mum was travelling with three children on her own, making it all the more difficult when a second one decided they’d also had enough and started balling.

A fellow passenger Kesha Bernard, recounted the moment in an impassioned Facebook post after she was appalled with how the other passengers reacted.

“So everyone is sitting in this full packed plane. And a baby starts crying (oh god forbid right?)” she writes.

“Everyone around me starts huffing and puffing and mumbling. Then......I hear two kids crying, this lady has her toddler having a full blown melt down over her seatbelt being on (toddlers are dramatic that’s nothing new) No problem.....I have mum powers and totally ignore it......BUT what I CANT ignore is this.”

From her seat a few rows ahead, Kesha heard a woman ask the mum to make her toddler stop kicking her chair. Another woman had her hands over her ears and was making faces at the poor mum.

“I sat here for 15 mins waiting on someone closer to this woman to offer her help...because im surrounded by caring adults, right? (Wrong),” Kesha writes.

“I turn around to see people mumbling and staring at this mother with her THREE kids ALONE.

“SO....being a decent human being I couldn't take letting this mother drown back there....”

Kesha got up from her seat and asked the mum if she needed any help, she immediately handed her the baby.

“I take her baby and then I have to go sit down for take off.......the crying stopped (it’s a miracle),” she says.

The moral of the story being; when you see someone struggling and in need of help, don’t be afraid to be considerate.

“How we can ignore a human in distress beyond me,” Kesha – herself a mum of two – says, “Please be kind. Help one another...it makes everything easier. I promise you wont die.”
