Mum's genius $3 Kmart travel hack

There’s nothing worse than lugging clunky shampoo bottles when you’re out swimming or travelling – and one Aussie mum has stumbled on the perfect solution.

Nat Stein posted her easy, inexpensive and pretty damn cute hack to Facebook, revealing her girls have fallen in love with the convenient way she’s created to carry their shower essentials.

Kmart sell these travel bottles in a 2 pack for $3. Filled them with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel and attached to a lanyard,” wrote Nat on Facebook.

“Perfect for my girls when we go camping to take to the showers. Also would be good for swimming lessons. I have ordered some stickers.”

With nearly 1000 likes on Facebook, mums have applauded Nat’s hack, with others sharing their helpful tips.

“Great idea! I have these in my nappy bag. One is suncream and one is hand sanitizer,” commented one Facebook user. “Much better than taking bigger bottles and cheaper than having to buy small ones all the time.”

“Pop them in a snap lock freezer bag before chucking them in your suitcase,” added another.

For those keen to try this at home, you can find the bottles in the make-up section of Kmart, with Nat cable tying them together and popping them on a lanyard.

Penny pinchers take note: this is also perfect for your carry-on suitcase when you don’t want to pay extra for luggage!
