A mum has spoken of her anger and trauma after a drunken passenger groped her in front of her two children during a flight.
The woman was flying on a Qatar Airways flight to Heathrow in December when 29-year-old Saranjeet Bassi leaned through the gap in the seats and sexually assaulted her.
Father-of-three Bassi was returning to Scotland after visiting his newborn in India.
"I feel what he did was sexual, the grabbing of my boob," the mum said in a victim impact statement, reports the Sun.
"I was with my kids and it makes me feel sick and violated. He took advantage and I don't want him to do this to anyone else."
Reports claim Bassi had offered the woman’s 18-month-old son a lolly after take-off, with the mum refusing claiming she could smell alcohol on his breath.
Following the assault, the woman confronted him and complained to staff.
Bassi was sentenced to a two-year community order, 200 hours of community service and $1750 in costs.
