Gassy passenger forces plane’s emergency landing
Just when you thought being stuck in a confined space with strangers for hours on end was bad enough, one passenger has proved some people really don’t respect the niceties of travel after his bodily functions forced the pilot to make an emergency stop.
A Transavia Airlines flight was reportedly forced to make an unscheduled landing after a passenger on the plane refused to stop farting – and his fellow flyers understandably objected.
The passenger’s non-stop flatulence even saw a punch-up erupt, with two men angrily confronting the offending farter during the flight from Dubai to Amsterdam, reports the Daily Mail.
Crew were forced to step in, with the pilot making the decision to land in Vienna.
Two Dutch men were escorted from the flight, along with two women, including passenger Nora L who insists she had nothing to do with the whole saga.
“It was crazy that we were included,” Nora told the Daily Mail.
“We had no idea who these boys were, we just had the bad luck to be in the same row and we didn't do anything.”
While it’s not known whether the gassy passenger was one of the men kicked off his flight, the internet has had a field day with the travel story from hell.
