Harry Potter World can be explored on a day trip with Premium Tours which departs daily from Victoria Coach Station.

The Studio tour starts with at the room under the stairs and then you can make your way through the Great Hall, to an enormous warehouse filled with tons of the film’s sets including; Dumbledore’s office, Potions classroom with Snape and Slughorn, Hagrid’s hut and the Gryffindor Common Room.

Throughout there are also lots of costumes, props, and even some of the paintings hung by the moving staircases. From here visitors are able to have a go at playing Quidditch – then it’s the cafeteria for a taste treat of Butterbeer and then make your way outside to some other exhibits including: Privet Drive, the flying car and the Knightbus.

At the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff, you can join in on an interactive adventure through time and space. Inside the massive exhibition hall, you’ll find some of the most famous TARDIS’ designs and different exhibits from different regenerated versions of The Doctor. Upstairs, there area all sorts of artefacts, costumes and interactive experiences.

On the next floor you can see unique sets, artefacts, costumes, including Daleks, Cybermen and Weeping Angels.

Not far from Baker Street Station, Sherlock resides at number 221B Baker Street, which is now home to the Sherlock Holmes Museum The museum is dedicated to the characters portrayed by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and the interior has been faithfully maintained for posterity exactly as described in the published stories. If you want to take a look at 221B Baker Street without visiting the museum, you can take a photo with a man dressed in police uniform according to the time period outside this famous address.

Paddington Bear, from the popular series of children’s books, has recently made his way to movie theatres. Visit Paddington Station to see where where he got his name. Paddington, a bear on search for a home in London starts off here – it is here that he is found by a friendly family who offer him a place to stay for the night – it all goes a little crazy from here.

Seen in many “Doctor Who” episodes, Mermaid Quay is the location where the Doctor comes to charge up his TARDIS when it’s running a little low. According to a fellow fan, in one of the older seasons aliens caused a rift to open and the Doctor closed it but the energy from the rift still flows through this area. This is also the official location for spin-off series, Torchwood.

Postman Park is seen in the film “Closer” starring Jude Law, Natalie Portman and Julia Roberts. In the film, some of the characters meet and go for a stroll through this park to discover that the plaques on the wall are dedicated to people who gave their lives saving others. Postman Park is located around the corner from St. Pauls Cathedral, London.

The movie, Notting Hill, is set exactly where you’d expect to find it. Accessible by Underground, this movie location is a short walks away from Notting Hill Gate station. The film famously stars Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts, who romance each other at an address here known just as the “blue door”. Though some of this door has been repainted over time, its still stands.

You can quite well believe there is a hidden platform at Kings Cross Station, because it’s so massive you could easily get lost here. Inside there is a photo opportunity available at a Harry Potter shop that brings Platform 9¾ to life.

Piccadilly Circus is a seen in many films, and perhaps most memorably for its appearance in the horror film, An American Werewolf in London. Piccadilly Circus, the Times Square of London, a road junction that is close by the major shopping and entertainment areas and it features large neon signs and video displays.

No TV show or movie is filmed in this famous café, however The Elephant House is known as one of the few places that J.K. Rowling came to write her Harry Potter novels. Inside the café you’ll find lots of information about her time spent here, and be sure to check out the bathrooms, which are filled with writings and drawings by the many “Harry Potter” fans that have visited.
