Timelapse Shows Beautiful Sunset Over Manhattan After Stormy Weather

The setting sun over Manhattan looked spectacular on Monday, June 19, after a spate of rain and thunder swept over the city.

This timelapse footage was shot by uploader David Schoppik on the East Side and shows the sunset.

Heavy rain and strong winds hit the city shortly before 5 pm, according to AM New York, and the National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning until 8 pm. The warning was discontinued as thunderstorms weakened in the early dusk. Credit: Twitter/@schoppik via Storyful
