Never has a nation been so divided over a reality star’s hairstyle, and now Bachelor In Paradise star Sam Cochrane has addressed the fascination about his famous locks.

Speaking to KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O show this week, the man-bun loving star revealed why he likes to comb his golden strands to one side before tying them up.

“I’ve got a widow’s peak, mate,” Sam told a listener who had called in to the radio show.

“It’s just hair,” he added.

“Widow’s peak…I like a widow’s peak,” shock jock Kyle Sandilands then responded.

You know that look when your hair grows in a V-shape towards the middle of your forehead? That’s the kind of widow’s peak Sam was talking about.

And when he feels he’s having a bad hair day, he’s got some trendy headwear to cover up the fly-aways.

“Hats are comfy. I live in hats,” he said.

It looks like Bachelor In Paradise star Tara Pavlovic is a massive fan of Sam’s hairstyle, as she said ‘yes’ to his romantic proposal during the season finale.

So will Sam’s hair undergo a makeover ahead of the wedding? Only time will tell.
