Turkey: It's Not Just For Thanksgiving!

Last night I threw turkey breast tenderloins on the grill that were delicious - I think the brand, "Jennie-O" is worth sharing. They're low in fat, loaded with protein, and come in a variety of marinated flavors: teriyaki, lemon garlic, seasoned pepper, tequila lime, peppercorn ranch, Italian roasted garlic, applewood smoked, and mesquite. I must admit, I've only tried teriyaki, so I'm not sure about the other flavors.

The best part, they're available at Costco (in addition to regular supermarkets). Plus, my kids devoured them! Always a bonus.

Here's the calorie/nutrition breakdown:

4 oz Jennie-O Turkey Breast Tenderloin = 120 calories, 22 grams protein and only 1.5 grams of fat.

  • They're a bit high in sodium (780mg), so make sure the rest of your meal is light on the salt.
