This year’s season of MasterChef has been filled with delicious flavours, culinary twists, more of Matt Preston’s cravats and a lot of FISH.

On Monday night the two grand finalists for this season were announced, and while fans are all for Sashi’s place in the finale, a lot of viewers have some thoughts about Ben and his passion for seafood.

Many Twitter users were quick to remind others that Ben has had a habit of cooking fish dishes throughout the season, that are very, very similar.

Some viewers suggested there was a lack of creativity.

Others thought there was something seriously fishy going on.

On Monday night judges Gary Mehigan, George Calombaris and Matt Preston announced the final two who will battle it out for the grand final prize.

Sashi, known for his Singaporean-inspired cuisine, and seafood enthusiast Ben made the cut, while Khanh’s chance at coming out on top was cut short.

“What have you loved most about your time here on MasterChef?” George asked Khanh.

“Honestly, these guys,” the contestant responded, gesturing towards his former opponents.

“They’ve been awesome, every single one of them. I’ve loved the food, I’ve loved cooking, and I’ve loved being mentored by you guys. But it’s these guys, definitely.”

The MasterChef grand finale will air on Tuesday at 7:30pm on Channel Ten.
