Meghan Markle's father has been on quite the media tour as of late. He's given paid interviews with outlets, slammed her every decision, and all-around been a mean person to the daughter he claims to love.
Thankfully, the internet now knows how Meghan feels about it. In an unearthed blog post from her site The Tig, written in 2014, Meghan quoted Portuguese author José Micard Teixeira in the wake of her divorce.
"I no longer have patience for certain things, not because I’ve become arrogant, but simply because I reached a point in my life where I do not want to waste more time with what displeases me or hurts me," Meghan wrote on the site.
"I lost the will to please those who do not like me, to love those who do not love me and to smile at those who do not want to smile at me."
"I do not get along with those who do not know how to give a compliment or a word of encouragement. I no longer spend a single minute on those who lie or want to manipulate."

The words are poignant and even more relevant now when you consider the current beef with her dad. He's literally called the royal family arrogant, he's been excessively critical of Meghan's new life, and has even gone as far as to say, "Maybe it would be better for [Meghan and Harry] if I was dead…then [they] could pretend to be sad." If that's not manipulative, what is?
The palace is reportedly considering an "aggressive strategy" for dealing with Thomas. Meghan, on the other hand, isn't falling for her dad's "crocodile tears." Glad to know becoming a royal (and arguably the most famous woman in the world) hasn't changed her *too* much.
