The unexpected way Meghan Markle will spend her first royal birthday
With Meghan Markle’s 37th birthday is just around the corner on August 4th many royal fans have been wondering just how she plans to celebrate it.
It’s her first birthday as a royal family member so you would think that all the attention would be on her right?
Well, that’s actually not the case – instead, the Duchess of Sussex is set to spend her birthday celebrating someone else at a wedding.
Meghan has agreed to attend the wedding of Prince Harry’s best friend, Charlie van Straubenzee and his fiancée Daisy Jenks.
And it seems Meghan won’t even be spending too much time with Harry either as he has the duty of being the best man during the ceremony in Surrey.
Charlie and Harry have grown up together as close friends ever since they were in the same class at Ludgrove Prep School in Berkshire.
Now it’s time for Harry to get payback after Charlie reportedly ‘roasted’ him in a speech following Harry’s own wedding ceremony.
Even though this year Meghan is bound to her girlfriend duties rather than royal duties, she wouldn’t have been allowed to do anything too extravagant anyway as it is considered tradition for royal family members to only have small family celebrations at home.
That is with the exception of the Queen of course, who gets two fairly lavish birthday celebrations.
However, knowing how much of a gentleman Prince Harry can be we have no doubt he will make it up to Meghan with some sort of romantic gesture.
