Television presenters Waleed Aly and Lisa Wilkinson didn’t seem to see eye-to-eye during last night’s episode of The Project.
Their disagreement played out on live TV, when Lisa Wilkinson appeared to support controversial politician Pauline Hanson, much to Waleed’s dismay.
“You have to admire her tenacity,” 58-year-old Lisa said in favour of Pauline.
“No matter what you think of her politics, she has a passion for getting her message out there and there is plenty of people who still want to follow her.”
“I don’t know that I do have to admire that.,” 39-year-old Waleed responded.
Lisa went on to say, “If somebody has the courage of their convictions, because so often we see in politics, politicians who sway with the breeze”.
“Mind you she has been doing that a bit this year,” she added.
“That is my point. You can admire her ambition. She is ambitious but… is about what she believes in?”
This segment came after One Nation founder Pauline fired senator Brian Hurston from her political party.
Meanwhile it’s not the first time Waleed has expressed his disagreement with Pauline, after previously hitting back at her controversial views on autism, as well as her anti-halal agenda.
