WATCH: Jacketgate Logies skit and Amber’s reaction
It was one of the most memorable moments of Aussie TV this year for all the wrong reasons, and there was no way the infamous Jacketgate scandal was going to escape a mention at the Logie Awards.
Stepping out on the stage to present the award for the most Outstanding Comedy, the audience knew something was going down when The Project star Peter Helliar and Kat Stewart sported matching fuschia outfits.

“Comedy plays an integral part in any thriving artistic community,” Offspring star Kat began as the hosts start to announce the nominees, before Peter quickly butts in.
I'm sorry, I'm sorry, you need to change," he interjects. "Can we get wardrobe, can we get wardrobe?"
The camera then cuts to Amber Sherlock, the Channel 9 presenter who was at the centre of the furore when she butted heads with fellow host Julie Snook over the fact they were both wearing white before a segment, in footage that was leaked and went viral.
“I asked you specifically not to wear fuschia,” says Peter. “You need to put a jacket on or something… we look like we’re trying to land aircraft.”
“If it’s an issue, I can just get on out of here,” retorts Kat.
The barrage goes back and forth between the two presenters, until a stagehand comes out with a hilariously striped poncho which Kat begrudgingly puts on.
