We can't stop watching this mood-changing hair

Anyone over a certain age probably remembers Hypercolour heat-activated t-shirts. They were ALL the rage amongst primary-school kids in the early '90s – all you had to do was put your hot little kid-sized hand on the fabric and it magically changed colour.

Now, a US company has figured out how to make hair do the same thing.

Prevana is a new range of hair colour that changes hue depending on the temperature of the strands, and it's totally hypnotic to watch.

"What makes it unique is that it’s the first-ever heat reactive color on the market," Lisette Cruz, product development manager at Pravana said.

"It happens so fast, with so many different heat sources. Walking out into the sun, with the simple heat from the sun, makes the color shift. Any gust of wind can change it again and reverse right back to its original colour."

The special coating isn't a dye, and it washes out after one wear. Excuse us while we spend the rest of the day playing with our magical locks!
