Wiggles star set to compete on Ninja Warrior

Wiggles star Simon Pryce is set to ditch his red skivvy tonight, as he reveals his more competitive side on Channel Nine’s Ninja Warrior.

The 46-year-old children’s entertainer will be put through his paces as he strives to navigate through a rigorous six-obstacle course, a physically demanding challenge for the fittest of the fittest.

Simon won’t be alone as his wife Lauren Hannaford will also face the various gruelling obstacles, and she has a key advantage on her side, professional experience.

The 31-year-old is a former elite gymnast, now focusing on her own FHIT program which helps everyday Australians improve their health and fitness.

“We thought it would be a really fun challenge to get involved in,” Lauren told The Daily Telegraph of the pair’s involvement in Ninja Warrior.

“We love doing anything together that involves being active and being healthy; it’s how we like to spend our time.”

Fans of Simon will see a different side to the singing sensation, who is usually dancing along to a kid-friendly jingle with fellow Wiggles members Lachlan Gillespie, Emma Watkins and Anthony Field.

“Not sure I can wiggle my way out of this,” he joked in a hashtag on a recent Instagram post.

Well with quintuple steps, a T-Slide to punching bag, a bridge of blades, a ball swing to cargo net, a flying shelf grab and the warped wall, Simon will certainly have his work cut out for him.

Ninja Warrior airs at 7:30pm tonight on Channel Nine.
